I first met Coley in the first grade 1949 at Seiversville.  He lived one street over from me in South Smallwood.  Coley was a big strong guy but very mild mannered and an excellent friend. He always seemed to have a great big smile on his face when he met you, making you feel like he he had been waiting to see you.  He would never let you down either on or off the field of play.  His father was a truck driver for Akers Truck Lines so he was away quite often but Coley's house was a fun and lively place to visit. The last time I saw Coley was in 1961 but G-D willing he like so many other's have and will remain forever young and alive in my memory.  His mother and two sisters were terrific neighbors and never seemed to mind us neighborhood boys hanging out there.  I am very saddened to hear that Coley is deceased, I would have liked to shake his hand and see the man that I am sure he became.  I can still see you walking beside me to school Coley and your presence always made the world seem more secure.
