Jo Ann Reid Avant

I am still working, and go to school five days a week. I work for a school cafeteria. Outside that, I spend time with family and friends. I like gardening with flowers in warm weather.

I have eight grandchildren--four girls, and four boys. At times, they keep me busy, but I enjoy and love them. Also, I have a dog named Shay.

Remember being in Mrs. Nixon's home room? She would usually have us laughing about something before we started the day.

Then, there was first-class gym--running around that great big field early in the morning.

At lunch time, a group of us would walk to Conder's, then stop for popcorn. At the end of the day, we would have doughnuts while we were waiting for the bus. We always had fun at the football games, being with friends, and cheering for the team.
