Sylvia Miles Woodrow

After graduation, I went to work for Lance, Inc., working in the Payroll Department. They were just introducing the IBM keypunch!!!

I married Steve Woodrow (Class of 1960), and we lived in Westchester for fifteen years, then moved to Weddington, and now are back in Charlotte.

Steve retired three years ago from Hoffman and Hoffman (HVAC sales). We spend four months out of the year in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

We have five grands, from nine months to eighteen years. They are all in Columbia, South Carolina.

Our oldest daughter has four children. Our son has one daughter, and our youngest daughter lives in Middleburg, Virginia, and has horses.

About twenty years ago, I found my passion was "flipping" houses. I made some mistakes, and had some successes. I would buy, redo, furnish with the same flea market furnishings, sell, store the furnishings, and start looking for another. I miss it, but know when to fold......

To this day, I still have bad dreams of not being able to find my locker, remember the combination, and get to my next class on time........with the right text books!!!!!!!!

It was a huge experience to come from Wesley Heights Elementary.

I forgot to mention the shower after gym that left your hair this side of ugly, and not enough time to get yourself together before the next class....which was naturally at the other end of the hall....
