James Rhyne

I am an accomplished A Team tennis player (final USTA rating 4.5).Played 25 yrs. in the Charlotte Queen City Tennis League. I have captained four tennis teams in the Queen City Tennis League during 1976-2000. Played at Charlotte Tennis Club in USTA/Volvo Tennis League in 1988- won Charlotte City Doubles Championship(swept Old Providence Tennis Club-home & away).

Currently I play golf. 2014 Olde Beau Golf & Country Club Roaring Gap, N.C.
Scored an Eagle on 18th hole rolling a 35 ft. putt to win by 1 stroke. Witnessed
by KMR, TB, & DO. Truly a life time memory for me as a 17 handicap player~

Remember Ms. Flora Mae Watson (geometry) ?

as a Junior, she flunked me. I truly was not "ready" for her or her math course. Over the following summer, I made my mind up that I was going to master that "blanketee-blank" course and find out what makes this woman tick~Beginning our senior year, I'm back in her classroom and I'm setting on "READY". She remembers me from the prior year and I become the 1st alternate to go to the board to solve the equation (that's a 360 degree turn from having the fear of God that she would call me to go to the board as a Junior) I made an A in her course and on the final day at the end of the course she greeted me with a huge smile and said she was glad I came back to retake her course and wished me well. My take on her & her course of Geometry is you have to be "READY" for "her" & want to excell in her course & always do your Homework assignments. Flora Mae then becomes "ONE SHINING MOMENT" of a woman.
